Talk about short weeks lately! Last week we only had 3 days of school and the week before that only 2. I can't complain though, the transition coming back to school after our nice long holiday break was easier for both my students and myself. Here's a little bit of what we've been up to.
 |
| Working on blends at the beginning of words |
 |
| Word families |
 |
| Writing CVC words |
 |
| Finding rhyming words |
We talked about New Years and how some people make resolutions. I had the students think of one thing they'd like to get better at or learn how to do.
We made snowman glyphs, which focused on our listening skills the first week after break.
Getting dressed and undressed for the cold weather is quite the process and just exhausting for me to look at! We are getting more efficient with putting on our things and not losing any mittens, hats, boots, snow pants gloves, etc.
Here are are doing our math trays during a math lesson!
Well next week is once again a short week; I'll be busy assessing and grading students for their Quarter 2 Report Cards! Catch you next week.
