Monday's field trip to the MN Zoo was a blast. The weather was rainy, cold, and VERY windy--but we didn't let that ruin our day. A lot of us braved the water, used our umbrellas, and trekked outside to catch the animals. A huge thank you to those parents who came along and helped with the class! We all appreciate you.
Animal Fun
Last week, we started to learn about different zoo animals. I introduced adjectives and how the describe nouns. Each student picked their favorite zoo animal from the field trip and thought of different describing words for their animal. We eventually used these adjectives and animals to make a class book.
We learned the differences and similarities between alligators and crocodiles and wrote the facts in a Venn diagram.
Mrs. Vadnais came in on Wednesday and took the class on an outdoor scavenger hunt for living and nonliving things.

These last few weeks of school are crucial! We've been reviewing all our school and classroom expectations and practicing routines. Around this time of year, the kids get antsy and start to forget what is expected of them as students. I've been praising them as much as possible when I see them making good choices and following through on their responsibilities. I want to make these last few weeks count and be memorable for them in the most positive way possible!
