Hello Families! It was a very short week last week so that means I have a short blog post. I didn't get a chance to photograph the class much; I was very busy trying to get things organized and prepared for conferences. I am still waiting to hear back on when the conference reschedule date will be from last Thursday. As soon as I know, you will know! The district is still trying to come up with a date that will work for all PLS schools.
The pictures I took from last week are when the students learned about symmetry in math. I put them in pairs, which I enjoy seeing because they learn to cooperate and take turns with one another. They also get a chance to use "malk talk" and discuss what they're doing.
We are also continuing to practice writing numbers 1-100 on a blank hundred chart. One way is left to right and the other is up and down.
Next week, we will be learning about Community Helpers and different careers.
