Bittersweet End

End of the Year Madness

Water Day
The kindergartners and I had an absolutely beautiful day outside. There were four water stations: 1) Drip Drip Drop (which is a spin off Duck Duck Gray Duck), 2) slip and slide, 3) water relays, and 4) minute to win it races. My station was the slip and slide. I used a giant tarp, put a hose on one end, and poured dish soap all over to make it extra slippery. The kids had a blast!

Graduation Ceremony
How very proud of a teacher I was to hand out a diploma to each and every one of my students to show that they successfully completed kindergarten. I hope you all enjoyed the graduation songs and hearing what each child wants to be when they grow up.

Field Trip

On Wednesday, the kindergarten classes went to two different locations--Children's Museum in the morning AND Como Zoo that afternoon. We had a gorgeous day for it and were able to spend 1-2 hours at each place, which surprisingly was plenty of time! Our class broke up into small groups of around 2-3 students and I had seven wonderful parent chaperones to assist me. Everyone stuck with their group and made it back to school in one piece (I'm always relieved after a field trip!)

Happy Last Day of School!
We kindergarten teachers are ready for summer vacation!
We kicked off the last day with an all school morning meeting. All of the grade levels got to go through a tunnel and get high fives from teachers.
Due to the rainy weather, we ate a picnic lunch in the gym.

Thank you for an amazing year everyone! This has been the best year yet and the memories that were created will never be forgotten.

Love,
Ms. Joachim
