Welcome back from Spring Break! School is back in session and I feel the kids came back more mature (maybe a little taller??) and ready to learn! Can you believe we only have 2 full months of school left???
In science, the class has been learning about oviparous animals. They've learned that many different animals hatch from eggs, including snakes, insects, alligators, birds, and snails.
We have a new friendly face in our room, Mrs. Bridget Burton, who comes to us from St. Catherine's University. She is studying to be an elementary education teacher (like me!) and will be teaching the class different math and science lessons. We are so happy to have her in our room. Last Wednesday, she was able to teach us more about oviparous animals.

For math stations, we are continuing with the Dr. Seuss theme.

The maple trees are FLOWING! Almost every milk jug was full when we went out to collect and measure the sap last Wednesday. All of the kindergarten and third grade classes have collected gallons upon gallons of sap from our trees outside.
I hope you and your child had a wonderful spring break. I was able to get away from MN and fly down to Cancun, Mexico for the week. It was a MUCH needed vacation and I feel more rested and rejuvenated. I flew in last Sunday to this white stuff called snow and a winter weather advisory, which was the last thing I wanted to see. However, it looks like this week will be warming up and rain may even be in the forecast. Yes please!
